This policy explains how BatchSlot processes information when a Shopify merchant installs and uses the app. It is not legal advice to merchants about their own privacy obligations.
Data we process
BatchSlot processes the minimum information needed for authentication, production planning, billing verification, and support:
- Shop domain, Shopify shop identifier, app access token, permissions, and session information.
- Merchant account information supplied through Shopify sessions, which may include a merchant user ID, name, email address, locale, and account role.
- Selected Shopify product identifiers and titles.
- Order identifier, order number, and selected product quantity.
- Batch names, planned ship dates, capacity, allocation status, app settings, and monthly usage counts.
- Support messages that you choose to send by email.
BatchSlot does not store customer names, customer email addresses, shipping or billing addresses, payment card data, or order payment details.
How we use information
We use the information above to:
- authenticate merchants and display the app inside Shopify Admin;
- identify selected products and allocate order quantities to production batches;
- release capacity when an allocated order is cancelled;
- maintain the waiting queue, app settings, and plan usage limits;
- verify a merchant's selected Shopify App Store plan; and
- respond to support and security requests.
Retention and deletion
Current order references are retained only while they are needed for an open production batch or an unresolved capacity queue. BatchSlot deletes order identifiers and order numbers from released allocations, resolved queue entries, and closed batches within 90 days. Order identifiers used to prevent duplicate monthly usage counting are also deleted within 90 days.
When the app is uninstalled, BatchSlot deletes stored shop sessions, settings, selected products, batches, allocations, queued orders, and usage records. BatchSlot also processes Shopify's mandatory shop and customer redaction webhooks. Deletion may be delayed only where retention is legally required.
Your choices and privacy requests
Merchants can uninstall BatchSlot from Shopify Admin. Customer privacy requests should be submitted to the Shopify merchant that received the order; Shopify then sends the applicable request to installed apps. Merchants can also contact us about access, correction, or deletion of support information they sent directly.
Security and changes
BatchSlot encrypts production data in transit using TLS and stores it on encrypted infrastructure. We also use access controls and Shopify webhook authentication. No security measure eliminates every risk. We may update this policy as BatchSlot or applicable requirements change; the date above identifies the current version.
Merchant data processing terms
The BatchSlot Data Processing Terms form part of the agreement with merchants that install or use the app and describe our processing instructions, security obligations, subprocessors, and deletion duties.
